It's You Against the Blackjack Dealer
One of the things that make blackjack different from other casino games is that in blackjack, you don't play against the other players. In fact, if doesn't matter if all of the blackjack players can see one another's cards as they are being dealt on the blackjack table. This is because in blackjack, you shouldn't care much about the other players. You're all there to beat the blackjack dealer.
Don't be bothered if the other blackjack players don't use the tried and tested blackjack strategy that everyone knows. It could be annoying to see blackjack players not making a hit if they get a sixteen. However, that's all you can do. Be annoyed at them.
You annoyance at the other blackjack players will get you nowhere. It could even affect your concentration especially when you are applying card counting techniques.
Annoyance is a negative mood. You went to the casino to spend some time to enjoy. Entertaining negative emotions as that will lessen your enjoyment even if you are winning the game.
Never give the other blackjack players your unsolicited advice. Sure, you probably have read some blackjack tips and have spoken with some experts. Maintain a good relationship with the other players by not intruding in their strategy. If they have noticed that your blackjack betting strategy works, they would ask for your help. Besides, those blackjack strategies don't always work. It is still possible for the blackjack dealer to beat you. In that case, you wouldn't want to be responsible for another player's loss, do you?
Even if the basic blackjack strategy led you losing some bets, stick with it. Using the basic blackjack strategy doesn't ensure that you will win all the time. However, the basic strategy is guaranteed to work most of the time. What if the basic blackjack strategy instructs you to stand on a seventeen but you still lost. It doesn't mean that it wouldn't work next time. Stick with the basic strategy.
Be ready to help other players. If other players notice that you are getting an edge at playing blackjack, beginners might ask you for a tip or two on the betting strategy. Share with them what you know. If you are winning, and the other players are losing, you can share some chips with them. Learn to pass on you're blessings and you'll definitely get more.
Remember, when playing blackjack, the other players are not your opponents. All of you have the same goal. That is to beat the blackjack dealer's cards.
