Without being obvious, give the appearance of being stupid and ignorant. If you can do it well, ask the dealer for help occasionally; act as if you cannot add up your hand. This may be easy to do when you have a soft hand with three or more cards. Say something like, "What have I got here?" while showing him your hand. In other words, do not act like you are a good player and know all about the game.
Appear to be a little tipsy; this is normal for the typical player. Appear interested in things other than the game. Distract the dealer from noticing your ability as a player with small talk about the weather, the music, anything insignificant.

You might want to prolong your anonymity by using disguises. This will work, provided you follow certain principles. Never use a disguise that is obviously a disguise. This will attract more attention than it is worth. Avoid going into the casino as your real self if you are going to use disguises. In this manner, they will not have the base from which to recognize you.
Switch your appearances around frequently so that none of your images become too fixed in the eyes of the casino personnel. Disguises can be fun, and there are many easy ways to disguise yourself, unless you are that one distinctive type of person who either by size, shape, color, deformity or other obvious physical trait, would be wasting his/her time trying to alter your appearance.

These include: wigs, moustaches, jewelry, clothing, eyeglasses, contacts, color-change contact lenses, etc. Be careful not to spend the money for a disguise and then wear something distinctive, like a ring or watch or article of clothing, which will be the undoing of that disguise. With wigs for both men and women being acceptable wear, a disguise can be quite easy to come by and effective to use. Be careful how you dress. You do not want to stand out or be noticed, so dress like the majority of the people who are in the casino where you are playing.
